What the official guide says
Amazon's Product image guide specifies a longest-side range of 500 to 10,000 pixels and identifies shipping claims among image content to avoid. Other requirements and category-specific exceptions still apply. Read the current guide before publishing.
Amazon Product image guideExamples to review
- 499 × 499 pixels
- The longest side is below the supported minimum. Use a higher-resolution original; artificial enlargement does not restore lost detail.
- 1,200 × 900 pixels, ordinary product photo
- Within the supported dimension range. No detected shipping wording only means those two checks found no signal, not that the image meets every Amazon requirement.
- A 1,200 × 900 image with ‘FREE SHIPPING’
- Size can pass while the visible words still require review. Inspect whether they are a shipping claim, a quotation or text printed on the product.
- Unreadable or partially readable text
- The result must identify what could not be inspected. A partial result is not a completed check or an approval.
What you still need to verify
Check main versus additional image rules, backgrounds, category exceptions, accuracy and rights yourself. A visible logo does not prove infringement, counterfeiting or authorization. This feature does not inspect all badges, reviews, promotional claims or product safety evidence.
Run a focused check
- Open Risk Check, select an individual Amazon US listing and enter its English listing text.
- Upload your product images and identify their roles. Batch spreadsheets do not inspect images.
- Read dimensions and highlighted wording separately, then review any unknown or incomplete parts. Reopen the saved result when making changes.
